Harkness Memorial State Park is just magical.  Whatever time of year that you visit it has a different yet welcoming feel.  I love shooting there and frankly can’t wait to go back.  There are areas that I have yet to explore.   Arlene and Sam are so easy going yet organized at the same time.    Arlene did a lot of her wedding details herself which I love being the crafty one that I am.   They came about their color theme when Sam suggested that he liked orange and then Arlene mentioned that she liked purple.  Viola, one of my favorite palettes, secondary colors.  This was a beautiful affair and you can tell from my long blog post that I enjoyed shooting it.

Arlene & Sam were married last weekend and had their reception at Harkness Memorial State Park in the Eolia mansion.  Wow, I love that place.  It is amazing to shoot there.  Adorable couple and a beautiful wedding.  Here’s a peak.  More to follow.  Have a great honeymoon Arlene & Sam.

We’ve had some serious rain here in the Northeast.  Today was a steady rain all day and although we had no wind, we lost one of our century old trees.  It is partially in the river so I’ll have to remove it vs. let it rot on the forest floor.  Oh the joys of living in the woods. I’m just grateful that noone got hurt and that my house is still standing.   I love my property and I guess I’d better since it will cost approximately a family vacation to remove this tree.

Chris and Ashley had a lovely outdoor ceremony last weekend.  I have to say, so far the weather has been cooperating on weekends for all my brides.   These two had so much fun that it was contagious.  They had a large bridal party and everyone danced like crazy.  Congratulations Chris and Ashley!
