Joanna & Michael Lifestyle Shoot

June 10, 2009

When Joanna & Michael contacted me about doing a session,  they always knew where they wanted to shoot.  Michael lived in New Canaan growing up and is nostalgic for Waveny Park.  I knew that we immediately had that bond.  I love shooting at Waveny, it’s where I got married.  Afterwards we headed to Shippan Point to our own private beach (well sort of, it’s all in the family).  Every where we went the flowers were fantastic.  We had some lovely romantic settings and I got to shoot a handsome couple in love.  Lots of kissing going on!  Thank you Michael and Joanna.

Keith & Angela Engagement Session in Central Park, NYC

June 2, 2009

It’s always fun for me to meet the couples that I’ve had long conversations with while planning their weddings.    While discussing where we would meet up for our shoot in Central Park, Angela and I both started to describe what we looked like.  She went on to say that Keith was basically 2′ taller than she was.  You barely notice it while you are with them as I think that they are such a perfect match.  It’s adorable!   Keith and Angela are getting married in October in New Jersey.  We had a gorgeous day and Central Park was crowded with city dwellers soaking in the Spring.  In fact the city seemed busier than I remember it being on weekends.  I took the train in and met a fellow wedding photographer in Grand Central Station.   She and her husband, (visiting from Texas) were struggling to get a portrait with the station in the background.  They were thrilled when I offered to take the shot for them and before you know it we realized that we are both wedding photographers.  Then a photographer came along with his wedding client and her bridal party.  Now I’m envious and want to do a shoot in Grand Central Station.  Any takers?  Shoot me an email if you want to do a day after shoot, I seriously would love that.   Here are some highlights from my session with Angela and Keith.
