Happy Halloween!

October 31, 2009

I can’t believe how fast Winter seems to be coming.  Most of my leaves are down and I’m just hoping to finish my Fall clean up before our first snow.  I love Halloween.  I totally wish that I was shooting a kooky wedding today.  If I were getting married again, I think that I might consider doing it on Halloween.  In fact, if you are a bride planning a Halloween wedding for next year, give me a call.  I will definitely give you a special rate.  More on that later.  Today I went out into the woods with my new 50mm 1.2 lens.  Wow, I’m so glad that I bought this.  My woods looked like The Blair Witch Project revisited.   Happy Halloween everyone with some images from today, and a few others that strike me from past shoots.  I have to add in a bit of gore,  it being Halloween and all. Trick or Treat!

Regina & Danny Wed

October 26, 2009

It was another gorgeous day in October for Regina and Danny’s wedding.  We were back at Rutgers Garden (my second wedding there this year) for portraits.  Just a bit later in the season and the color had changed but the light was gorgeous.  Congratulations Regina & Danny.

David’s Bridal 2010 Spring Collection

A couple of weeks ago, I had the opportunity to shoot a showcase event for David’s Bridal during New York’s Bridal week.  The day was filled with a lot of buzz and magazine editors and buyers from all over.  The Spring 2010 Collection is quite beautiful and shocking affordable.  I had fun shooting some of their details and shot many dresses.  You’ll have to wait to see the dresses at David’s Bridal but here are some teaser details.

Andrea McKoy Zeppuhar — Cynthia- I found your site while searching the web for the location details of their recent bridal commercial. Oheka Castle is my guess! Have attended a wedding there and I must say it is a fabulous location! I must say your photography is, well, luscious! I found it a real treat! So glad to have discovered it. All the best- Andrea   ( March 16, 2010 @ 10:23 am )

New York Bridal Week

October 20, 2009

Last week I did a commercial fashion shoot for David’s Bridal.  This was a showcase event for editors and buyers from all over.  I was pleasantly surprised at some of the gowns that I shot.  Hands down, the price point was always less than I would have guessed.  More coming soon.

Blake & Laura Engagement

What a gorgeous Fall day I had romping around with Laura & Blake.  They are getting married next June in Newport, Rhode Island.  When we were trying to decide where to shoot engagement pictures it was a bit of a no brainer, somewhere cool by-the-sea.  I love how much fun these guys have together.  They certainly didn’t need any prompting.

I love how for this last image I said,  “be discreet and go and sit on this couch like you’re at home”.   Blake tells me that the moment they sat down the shop owner asked them if they’d be wanting 5×7’s or 8×10’s-Wow, totally caught!!!  Thanks for such a fun day Laura & Blake.
