Dustin & Susan are both wine enthusiasts and have traveled the Connecticut wine trail to visit many Winerys. I was happy to hear that they wanted to shoot their engagement session at Jonathan Edwards as I love North Stonington and had not yet been there myself. We had one of those amazing days with gorgeous blue skies and pillow puff clouds. You just can’t get better. We wandered the fields, vineyard and even got access to the wine distillery to take pictures amongst the various barrels. These guys just didn’t stop smiling all day, and that was even before a glass of wine. I’m really looking forward to their upcoming July wedding!

Danielle & Sean are a fun couple and since they wanted some cool group shots with all their friends, they scouted out this great yellow wall for us to use as our background. I don’t often post group formal shots but frankly, they hardly need to be formal. This session is anything but. All of these images are straight out of the camera and took us about 20 minutes while the limo driver waited to then take the group to their venue.
Spring Awakening is an event to benefit The Summer Theatre of New Canaan (STONC.ORG) The Summer Theatre of New Canaan enriches local communities with a professionally produced theatre experience, providing exciting performances for multigenerational audiences as well as learning opportunities for many of the region’s talented performers and technicians who work along side professional performers and production staff. Check their site for the upcoming free Shakespeare & Summer season at Waveny Park. The event features 20 leading Interior Designers at Le Beau Chateau. Each Designer created a table top room vignette inspired by various Broadway shows. I was thrilled to be invited to photograph the press event and found some great inspiration! Not only for decorating but also to create some cool wedding details. Public viewing is from May 13-16th. There is so much talent under the roof of this incredible mansion which, by the way has not been opened to the public in something like 57 years and is situated on a 52 acre estate in New Canaan. Check out STONC.ORG for tickets!

My apologies to the designers who I did not give credit to. I either didn’t get the chance to meet you in person or haven’t seen the Broadway Show that you were inspired by. Hello fellow Mom friends! I had the most wonderful day yesterday with my son at the New Canaan “May Fair”. I’ve been going to this event my entire life and it’s so fun to share the experience with him. He sees his friends from school and I run into old high school buddies. But you should know that I am obsessed with the swings! Corban and I both agree that we need to invest in one of these amusement park rides and install it in our backyard! Forget a pool, we’ve got a river. Now we just need some flying in the air action. The million dollar moment was Corban telling me that he’d had “the best day ever” just as I tucked him in to bed! I love being a Mom, challenging as it is sometimes. Happy Mother’s day gals!

I think that my niece is as fond of this ride as we are!

Just a quick preview for now from this amazing wedding that I shot last weekend. Talk about eye candy…simply gorgeous! Such a lovely family…wow, my job is fabulous!
