Winter Weddings

December 25, 2011

Merry Christmas Everyone!  One of my former brides is in town for the holidays and we decided to do a bridal shoot with this amazing vintage Balenciaga gown that I have.  Yes you heard right, Balenciaga, as in 10.Avenue George V. Paris!  If you are newly engaged, I highly recommend putting some thought into planning a Winter wedding.  They can just be so magical!  I’ll share more of our shoot in a day or so, I’m off to make my Red Velvet Cake and Lobster Risotto!

Visit To Pearl Harbor

December 7, 2011

In September I was in Oahu for five days to shoot a wedding.  Although my stay was short, I did manage to see Pearl Harbor.  I was very impressed by the USS Arizona Memorial and the USS Missouri Battleship.  It’s chilling to see the oil that still leaks out of the USS Arizona.  The USS Missouri was in both WWII and Persian Gulf Wars and is the site where Japan formally surrendered to the United States.  I’ll have to go back with my son who is obsessed with WWII memorabilia.  Here are a few images from The War Memorial and Pearl Harbor that I grabbed with my point and shoot.
