Lifestyle, Engagement Session With Stephanie, Adam & Gertie

July 20, 2011

Stephanie and Adam love to spend time at the park with their dog Gertie.  We shot an engagement session together this spring but since they wanted to create a personalized guest sign-in book for their wedding,  we decided to do a lifestyle shoot celebrating their family.  It was a gorgeous summer afternoon and Gertie was thrilled to lead the way.  I designed a coffee table book with a good amount of white space and matte pages that are perfect to write on.  Now Stephanie and Adam can share this lovely memory with their wedding guests too!  Ahhh the dog days of summer…

Stephanie & Adam; Engagement Session at a Horse Barn

May 16, 2011

I was so excited to shoot Stephanie & Adam’s engagement session when Stephanie mentioned that we could borrow a friends horse!  It’s no secret that I am just nuts about animals.  Tiberius, aka “Duey” is a gorgeous young stallion that is half Arabian.   We were so fortunate that his owner Ro shared him with us for an afternoon.  I made a really big deal of “Duey” when I met him by telling him how gorgeous he was and since he felt so proud he absolutely posed for the camera.  Anyone who says that horses are not clever has not had the luxury of spending any time with them!  Stephanie and Adam were so at ease that you’d think they did this everyday.

Ro and Duey.

Caitlin & Stephen; Engagement Session in Fairfield Connecticut

April 28, 2011

Caitlin & Stephen met in 6th grade at school in Fairfield, Connecticut, so it was a fun place to start their engagement session.   Although,  I’m not certain that Stephen would agree.  Beginning our photographic relationship in a closed for the weekend school with sister Katherine looking on must have been a bit nerve wracking.  We had a great time romping around the town to visit some favorite places and hang out with their adorable dog Beau!  We all have spent some time living in Paris and I can’t wait to shoot their French inspired wedding at Harkness this June.

Engagement Session At Tod’s Point; Katie+Brady

April 6, 2011

I spent a lovely day beach combing with Katie & Brady last Sunday.  I hadn’t been to Tod’s Point in quite a while and had forgotten how beautiful it is there.  Katie & Brady came up north from Delaware for the weekend, so I was happy that the weather cooperated.  I will be shooting their destination wedding in Hawaii this Labor Day.  Their wedding weekend will be packed with family gatherings, preparations and even a trash the dress session.  These two have such an easy way about them and are so photogenic.  I am beyond excited to be going to Hawaii!  Wow…my work is so fun!

Engagement Session, Rye Playland

October 7, 2010

You may remember Libby & Keith from an earlier post.  They modeled for me during a “Style to Reality” shoot hosted by My Kate Parker Wedding.  Well we still wanted to shoot an engagement session that felt more personal to them,  so we spent the last day of the season at Rye Playland.  It was a gorgeous day to run around shooting.  In fact we had so much fun that we didn’t go on any rides!  Imagine that, standing at the foot of the dragon coaster and not even feeling the impulse to jump on.  We had so much fun with candy apples, popcorn and photo booths.  We even tried to locate the famous fortune telling machine from the movie “Big”, but it is long gone.  I can’t wait to shoot their wedding next year at The New Haven Lawn Club,  which happens to be one of my favorite venues.  Thanks for an incredible day Libby & Keith!
