Pamela & George Engagement Session

August 2, 2009

The plan was to meet at Jones beach where George kissed Pam for the first time.  Since we have had such a strange-wet Summer here in the northeast I have to have a plan B for every shoot.  After some serious heavy rain we decided to head to Freeport where George knew that there woud be some cool places to go and shoot with restaurants to dive into if need be.   I love the two swans that were hovering around us as we took pictures.  The weather didn’t dampened the laughter and good times.  Pam and George are really getting excited for their October wedding and It shows!

Keith & Angela Engagement Session in Central Park, NYC

June 2, 2009

It’s always fun for me to meet the couples that I’ve had long conversations with while planning their weddings.    While discussing where we would meet up for our shoot in Central Park, Angela and I both started to describe what we looked like.  She went on to say that Keith was basically 2′ taller than she was.  You barely notice it while you are with them as I think that they are such a perfect match.  It’s adorable!   Keith and Angela are getting married in October in New Jersey.  We had a gorgeous day and Central Park was crowded with city dwellers soaking in the Spring.  In fact the city seemed busier than I remember it being on weekends.  I took the train in and met a fellow wedding photographer in Grand Central Station.   She and her husband, (visiting from Texas) were struggling to get a portrait with the station in the background.  They were thrilled when I offered to take the shot for them and before you know it we realized that we are both wedding photographers.  Then a photographer came along with his wedding client and her bridal party.  Now I’m envious and want to do a shoot in Grand Central Station.  Any takers?  Shoot me an email if you want to do a day after shoot, I seriously would love that.   Here are some highlights from my session with Angela and Keith.

Aleksandra & Jeff Engagement

October 4, 2008

I can’t believe that I am just a few weeks away from shooting this wedding. Aleksandra, Jeff and I have all jumped through hoops to coordinate our schedules in order to shoot an engagement session. I’m so thrilled that we did. It was raining in New Canaan last Sunday, but not further up in Milford. We decided to head for the beach and discovered some incredible light. The calm before the storm. Milford has an amazing shoreline. I love doing engagement sessions and it really is a great way to get to know your clients better. Jeff and Aleksandra have a love bond that feels so comfortable, like they can look at each other from across the room and know what the other is thinking. The wedding is going to be gorgeous and I can’t wait! Here are some sneak peeks (quite a few actually) from our session together.
