Cynthia Brown Weddings » Photographers http://www.cynthiabrownweddings.com Just another WordPress weblog Sat, 04 Sep 2010 12:02:31 +0000 http://wordpress.org/?v=2.9.2 en hourly 1 Walk Through a Wedding With Justin & Mary http://www.cynthiabrownweddings.com/weddings/walk-through-a-wedding-with-justin-mary.html http://www.cynthiabrownweddings.com/weddings/walk-through-a-wedding-with-justin-mary.html#comments Sun, 11 Apr 2010 02:11:14 +0000 Cynthia Brown http://www.cynthiabrownweddings.com/?p=1225 I had so much fun attending Justin & Mary’s “Walk Through a Wedding” workshop last Thursday.   It was a great experience to literally walk through the entire wedding process with the talent and brains behind the Marantz machine.  And… these guys truly must be superhuman.  They just returned from their nationwide “Spread the Love” tour, spoke at WPPI in Vegas and are remodeling their new home from the ground up.  Both Mary and Justin give back to the photography community on so many levels.   Did I mention that they also head our Pictage user group meetings monthly?  It was an awesome day networking and sharing with other photographers.  I learned a few things that will change how I approach my shoot days and can’t wait to start implementing my new tools!    Our models were one of Justin & Mary’s totally adorable couples getting married later this Summer as well as some fellow photographers who stepped up.  The reception part of our day was held at The Guilford Yacht Club.  I had never shot there and the view is lovely!

]]> http://www.cynthiabrownweddings.com/weddings/walk-through-a-wedding-with-justin-mary.html/feed 2 New Totally Rad Lightroom Presets Released! http://www.cynthiabrownweddings.com/gear/new-totally-rad-lightroom-presets-released.html http://www.cynthiabrownweddings.com/gear/new-totally-rad-lightroom-presets-released.html#comments Wed, 10 Feb 2010 18:41:35 +0000 Cynthia Brown http://www.cynthiabrownweddings.com/?p=1142 O.K. so I know that not everyone is a photo geek the way I am, but I love tools that make my work look it’s best and save me time on my workflow.  I’m a complete fan of all of Doug Boutwell’s “Totally Rad actions”.  I own and regularly use all of them.  From the original Totally Rad Photoshop actions to TRA 2- The Revenge and Dirty Pictures-Image Textures, I love them all.  I was so excited when Doug started a TRA Recipes site and featured one of my images.  Here’s the link to my blog post about that http://bit.ly/bxzOLm.  Well he’s done it again and the long awaited Lightroom presets are here!  Once again I am honored to have one of my images chosen for the samples on his site.  Of course I picked up my copy of the presets the moment they were officially announced.  103 of them to be exact, most of them offered in several strengths.  This will totally change how my clients see their online proofs and I’m really excited about it.  I think that Lightroom users all over the world must be doing the happy dance.  Congratulations to Doug for yet another fantastic achievement, that is besides the pilots license.
